I'm currently a journalism graduate student at the University of Missouri.  My area of concentration is news reporting and writing with a bit of photojournalism added in, just to keep things interesting.

I think that storytelling a fascinating way for people to share their lives and perspectives with one another. In the future I'd like to collect oral histories and use them to bring some context to issues that are currently facing our society. For this reason, I have a keen interest in becoming a better writer as well as developing my audio, video and photo skills as well.

My undergraduate degree is in business management and marketing, with a minor in Spanish.  I literally started planning how I would escape the 9 to 5 grind and explore this fascinating world we're a part of as I was shaking the dean's hand and accepting the replica of my diploma on graduation day.

 

Since then, I've worked in corporate America to fund my time abroad.  My curiosity has taken me to 19 countries on four continents.  I've lived and worked internationally, and hope to do so again in the near future.

My goal in life is to be able to look back at the end of it and say that I have no regrets.
